High Tech Scanner Posted by mroberti on November 16, 2014 November 16, 2014 Corona / LUA / Programming Yeah, you need it. A simple, easy to configure high-tech looking scanner. For backgrounds, for nerdy matrix style freakage. Yeah. You crave it. Well, enjoy this! Grab it here! Happy Coding! Mario digibix Its does not work on iPhone 5, 6+, iPad Mini…. it work on Galaxy S5 and other android tablets MarioRoberti Indeed? How so? Can you explain in more detail on how its not working? Thanks, Mario digibix The problem is with the: display.setDefault( “textureWrapY”, “repeat” ) display.setDefault( “textureWrapX”, “repeat” ) In the Corona SDK documentation of display.setDefault it mention this: To use “repeat” or “mirroredRepeat”, make sure the dimensions of your textures are power of two, for example 16, 32, 64, 128,256, etc. What I did to make it work with the iPhone/iPad was resize the original images to 1024 x 512 instead of the 1920 x 1080 at it worked…. MarioRoberti Ahhhh, I forgot about the “power of 2” texturing, didn’t know it was needed in the repeating textures. I’m still working on restoring my mac from a recent crash so I wasn’t able to test it on my iDevices! Well thank you very much for making it work. And, of course, feel free to create your own textures to use with it, too! The provided textures were in no way meant to be static! 🙂 If you use photshop, I grabbed these free brush-packs which are what I used to design the textures at :http://www.deviantart.com/browse/all/?qh=§ion=&global=1&q=%22z-design%22+brushes His work is amazing and they’re free to use! Thanks again for the fix!
